

There are numerous municipal, commercial, limited, and private airports situated
throughout the state in forested areas, barren landscapes, mountain settings, on
islands, beaches, sod, gravel, and water. Here are just a sampling of unique
airports:
Skagit/Bayview Airport

Located 65 miles north of Seattle, this airport has two runways: one 100' X 5475'
and the other 60' X 3000'. It has a view of
Mt. Baker and hangars adjacent to the field.
Grant County Airport

Located in Moses Lake in eastern Washington. It has the longest runways on the
Pacific Coast (13,500 ft. concrete asphalt). It also has two 5000 ft. taxiways
on both sides of the runway and five giant hangars available on-site for rent.
Ephrata Municipal Airport

Located in eastern Washington. Ephrata has a 7,300 ft. concrete runway with
1940s vintage look.
Twisp Municipal Airport

Located in north central Washington, this has a smokejumper base with a
3,000 ft. gravel runway. It is surrounded by trees and mountains.
Bremerton National Airfield

Located one hour west of Seattle, Bremerton has an unused runway which can
be used for high speed car filming.
Copalis Beach State Airport

Located on the Pacific Coast is a 5,000 ft. sand runway on an ocean beach, the
only beach airstrip in the US.
Lake Union Seaplane Base

Located in downtown Seattle is a busy seaplane landing
site with a 1.8 mile water runway. It is a scenic location with boats, docks,
shipworks, houseboats, and the Seattle skyline as the backdrop.
