

Western Washington has a multitude of farmlands dedicated to dairy farms
and various crops. Eastern Washington farms are quite large and primarily
produce grains, fruit, sheep, and beef cattle. Washington is one of the
major producers of wheat in the country and the leading producer of apples.
Cattle Ranches

Located throughout the state. The greatest concentration is in two
eastern Washington counties: Kittitas and Okanogan.
Dairy Farms

Located throughout much of the state. The largest number of farms is
in Whatcom County, the largest milk producing county. The Yakima Valley
has fewer farms, but they are much larger in size.
Horse Ranches

Located primarily in south King, Kittitas, Yakima, and Walla
Walla counties.
Sheep Ranches

Can be found in Western Washington, but the larger ranches are in
eastern Washington in Tonasket, Goldendale, and Yakima.
Traditional Family Farms

Several can be found in Skagit County.
