Washington has two major mountain ranges: the Olympic Range on the Olympic
Peninsula in the extreme western part of the state and the Cascade Range
running from the Canadian border to Oregon through the middle of the state.
Other minor ranges are the Blue Mountains, the Okanogan Highlands, the
Selkirk Mountains, and the Kettle Range, all in eastern Washington.
