Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland form the Tri-Cities in eastern Washington.
Tri-Cities is about 220 miles east of Seattle. With its own medium-size
airport, it is easily accessible by plane.
Though almost no rain falls from summer skies, there is plenty of water
from the Snake and Columbia Rivers. The combination of cloudless skies
and running water has made this area a center of hydro-electric power
generation and solar studies. The US Department Of Energy Hanford Site
is a former nuclear power plant which will consider film requests.
Kennewick

Located on the west bank of the Columbia River. Kennewick is a quiet,
retail and residential community of All-American homes. A good mid-western
look is here.
Pasco

The oldest of the three communities is Pasco, which is across the river
from Kennewick. It is the seat of the agriculture industry, a major
rail yard, and the upper terminus of commercial barge traffic on the
river. Low, plain-faced business buildings make its main street an
archetypal western scene. Pasco also boasts of Preston Vineyards,
which exemplifies a small, estate-like winery.
Richland

This modern day community grew out of Hanford, a closed government town
built in the 1940s to nourish the US Department Of Energy Hanford Site.
It consists of shopping centers, motel rows, and residential
neighborhoods. Its unique, downtown style makes this town a perfect
50s era location.
